Residential Maintenance Technician

The England Economic & Industrial Development District (England Airpark) is seeking a dependable and motivated Residential Maintenance Technician to join our Airpark Operations team. This position is responsible for maintaining England Airpark’s residential community by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties to ensure homes, facilities, and surrounding property remain safe, attractive, and well-maintained.

The Residential Maintenance Technician performs general repairs, preventive maintenance, and grounds maintenance while responding to resident maintenance requests and helping preserve the quality of England Airpark’s residential community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs to residential homes, buildings, and community facilities.
  • Complete basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs.
  • Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inspect homes and facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, weed control, drainage maintenance, and irrigation system repairs.
  • Mix and apply approved herbicides and pest control products in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Repair doors, locks, windows, fencing, fixtures, and other building components.
  • Maintain work equipment and vehicles in safe operating condition.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential, commercial, or facility maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience operating lawn equipment, power tools, and maintenance equipment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
